Supervision

Integrative Supervisor

Working with individuals and groups

I offer both individual and group supervision to qualified therapists and trainees.

I believe that at the heart of good, purposeful supervision is the relationship between the supervisor and supervisee.  Through my years of counselling experience and work as a teacher of counselling, I recently undertook my diploma in supervision which enables me to offer supervisees the opportunity to explore their personal and professional awareness by providing a collaborative environment which fosters trust, respect, genuineness and warmth.  In doing this supervisee’s feel valued and ready to explore the movement of their client work in a non-judgemental and affirming surrounding.

I encourage supervisees to be creative within their supervision and to consider what they need from the supervisory relationship.

As a member of the BACP I work within the boundaries and guidance of their ethical framework.  I also have knowledge and experience of working within different professional ethical frameworks.

Currently I am working with counsellors, psychotherapists and coaches.

Corinne Yeadon, Being Better Ltd.

Deborah is effective at creating a therapeutic relationship of trust and a safe supervision space. This allows for authentic disclosure and enables purposeful and meaningful practice related discussion.

Deborah challenges and coaches in a non confrontational way and encourages me to reflect and question my practice.  She has facilitated me to identify links between my own values and experiences that can influence my practice.

She has supported me to explore issues of an ethical nature and provided guidance within good practice frameworks.

Deborah has a wealth of theoretical knowledge and applies this to specific presenting issues. I am able to raise issues of a sensitive and emotive nature without fear of judgement or criticism, both verbally and non verbally.

The sessions are a crucial part of my professional and personal development and I come away from sessions with learning and honest validation.

I believe that a true indicator of the qualitative supervision I receive is that during sessions with clients I am reminded of strategies and techniques from supervision.  I can confidently say that supervision with Deborah definitely has a positive impact on my practice and therapeutic interventions.

I can genuinely say I look forward to supervision and can highly recommend Deborah to a wide range of talking therapists and practitioners.
